Curriculam and its Transactions

  1. Scheme of Studies:
    The course for the first year shall comprise of 4 parts viz Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV
    • Part I Shall consist of 04 (Foundation) papers each of 50 marks ( 4x50=200 Marks, in case of Each paper 10 Marks are reserved for internal assessment and 40 for external exam)
    • Part - II of 05 teaching learning subjects of 50 Marks each (5x50=250 Marks, in case of each paper 10 Marks are reserved for internal assessment and 40 for external exam)
    • Part-III for teaching Practice of 250 Marks in 5 different subjects (5x50=250 Marks, in case of each paper 25 Marks are reserved for internal assessment and 25 for external exam) and
    • Part IV shall consist of 3 subjects each of 50 marks (in case of each subject 30 Marks are reserved for internal assessment and 20 for external exam).
  2. In case of Part IV Students are required to offer any one of the following subjects :-
    • Art Education
    • Health and Physical Education
    • Work Education
  3. The Scheme of Examination shall be :-
    Foundation, Pedagogical, and other related Courses. Continuous & comprehensive evaluation is integral component of this teacher education-curriculum. Theoretical understanding is to be assessed by different modes & tools of evaluation such as observation, performance-testing, paper-pencil test, assignment, project -work, and preparation of audio-visual aids, participation in co-curricular activities and games & sports. At the end of each year a common external examination will be conducted in the course prescribed For the year concerned. A student failing to secure minimum pass marks in a paper(s), will reappear in the paper(s) concerned in the subsequent examination.
  4. Teaching Practice (School Experience Programme)
    Practice of teaching will be undertaken in both first year as well as second year. The schedule of Teaching Practice during the First year is given under :-
  5. First Year
    • Micro Teaching 15 Lessons
    • Teaching of Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi 10 Lessons
    • Teaching of Maths 10 Lessons
    • Teaching of Environment Studies (EVS) Science 10 Lessons
    • Teaching of Environment Science (EVS) Social Science 10 Lessons
    • Teaching of English 10 Lessons
    • Total Lessons: 65 Lessons
    • Observation of Demonstration Lessons 5 Observations per subject
    • Observation Lessons of School teacher and pupil Teacher 8 Observation in each of the six teaching subjects
    • Administering and scoring of achievement test One
    Note
    First year Teaching Practice will be conducted in primary classes ( I to V) for 25 working days. Scheme of Examination for First Year
